Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Vetted Neighbor LLC (“Vetted Neighbor,” “we,” “us”) operates the Vetted Neighbor™ marketplace from Bentonville, Arkansas. We connect Northwest Arkansas homeowners (“Neighbors”) with service professionals (“Pros”) who have been vouched for by other Neighbors.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, mobile phone number, email address, and service address or service area.
- Usage information: searches you run, Pros you select, vouches you submit, and referrals you make.
- Payment information: for Pros, payment cards are tokenized and stored by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- SMS consent records: we keep a timestamped record of when and how you consented to receive text messages, plus the language presented at signup.
3. How we use information
- Verify your account (phone and, where applicable, email).
- Deliver leads from Neighbors to the Pro they specifically select.
- Send vouch invites you authorize.
- Send transactional notifications (verification codes, lead alerts, billing alerts).
- Detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. SMS messaging
We collect mobile phone numbers to send: (a) one-time verification codes, (b) lead notifications to Pros, (c) vouch request invites authorized by a Pro or Neighbor, and (d) account and billing alerts.
Phone numbers are not shared, sold, or transferred to any third party for marketing purposes. Users opt in to SMS via our signup forms with explicit, affirmative consent. Reply STOP to opt out of further messages at any time, or HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply.
5. Third-party processors
We share the minimum data necessary with the following service providers, each bound by their own data agreements:
- Twilio — SMS delivery and phone verification.
- Stripe — payment processing and card storage.
- Supabase — managed database and authentication.
- Lovable — application hosting.
- Resend (or our built-in email service) — transactional email delivery.
None of these providers receive SMS opt-in data for the purpose of marketing to you.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use first-party session cookies to keep you signed in. We may use privacy-respecting product analytics to understand aggregate usage. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
7. Data retention
Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to satisfy legal, tax, audit, and dispute-resolution obligations. SMS consent records are retained for at least the period required by applicable telecom regulations.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information (subject to legal hold). You may opt out of any non-transactional marketing communications at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at the address below.
9. Children
The service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are material we will notify users by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
